Neighbor Posts Heritage Conservancy Celebrates Members at Annual Garden Party Members and donors strengthen Heritage Conservancy's mission, and this event shows the organization's appreciation for that positive impact. Over of the Conservancy's valued donors, individual and business members, and Board of Directors were in attendance at the Garden Party, as well as special guests of supporters who were interested in learning more about the organization.
A beautiful spring evening complimented the evening's festivities. The celebrated guests were invited to enjoy catered hors d'oeuvres outside on the terrace overlooking Aldie Mansion's beautiful gardens and landscaping. Docents were on-hand to provide guided tours of the historic mansion's grounds and to share the importance of historic preservation. Heritage Conservancy's Garden Party was filled with compassionate and enthusiastic people who continue to make a significant impact for historic preservation and the environment through their support.
The Conservancy's mission protects our open spaces and historic places, and it also requires continuous work to maintain those places that have already been preserved. Our community's treasures won't stay special without the help of a lot of people. An exciting component of the evening was the unveiling of Heritage Conservancy's donor tree, an artistic installment that symbolizes the Conservancy's tree logo and features the names of the organization's supporters that have significantly impacted the momentum of its mission.
Last year, the Conservancy celebrated 60 years in this community, and the donor tree represents the advocates who have propelled the organization toward such a milestone. They planted the seeds, they nurtured our growth and have made a commitment to sustain our mission far into the future," said Jeff Marshall, President of Heritage Conservancy as he addressed the group.
